A Report on the Visit of Most Revered President Maharaj & Inaugurations of Thakur’s Bedroom, New Kitchen-cum-dining and renovated President Maharaj quarter’s at Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Sikra Kulingram. (6 th to 10th July 2024)
It is our immense pleasure and joy to share that the Most Revered President Maharaj visited Sikra Kulingram on the 6th of July and stayed until the morning of the 10th.
On the 7th of July 2024, the Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission at Sikra Kulingram, the holy birthplace of Swami Brahmanandaji Maharaj, witnessed grand celebrations. Special Puja and Homa were performed in the temple to mark this auspicious occasion. The day was highlighted by several significant inaugurations by the Most Revered President Maharaj. The new Shri Thakur’s Bedroom, a kitchen-cum-dining hall, and the thoroughly renovated President Maharaj’s quarters were unveiled with great reverence and joy, showcasing our continued efforts to enhance the facilities for devotees and monks alike.
A public meeting was also held, featuring a welcome speech by Swami Anantananda. The Revered General Secretary graced the occasion with a keynote speech, and the event concluded with a benedictory address by the Most Revered President Maharaj. This gathering was attended by a large number of devotees.
A Sadhu Bhandara was organized, with 165 sadhus attending the celebration and bhandara. Nearly 2000 devotees received cooked prasad, creating a sense of unity and shared devotion.
The celebrations extended to the 8th and 9th of July, during which the Most Revered President Maharaj conducted spiritual initiations. This provided a sacred opportunity for devotees to deepen their spiritual practices under his guidance.
Finally, on the morning of the 10th of July, the Most Revered President Maharaj departed for Barasat. These events were marked by a pious and joyful atmosphere, leaving a lasting impression on all the sadhus and devotees who participated. The inauguration of the new facilities and the spiritual activities reinforced the Math’s dedication to preserving and promoting its spiritual heritage.
