Swami Vivekananda Jayanti was celebrated at Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Sikra Kulingram, on January 21, 2025, with great devotion. The day began with Magal Arati at 4:30 am, followed by Vedic chanting, special puja, homa, pushpanjali, bhajans, lectures on Swamiji’s life and teachings, and readings from ‘Swami Vivekanander Vani o Rachana’ in the morning. Over 500 devotees attended the day-long program and received cooked prasad.

In the afternoon, there were bhajans and Shruti Natak performances by the devotees. After the evening arati, Geeti Alekhya (Lyrical Narration with Songs) on Vivekananda was performed by the Ashrama Sevaks and Volunteers.

Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Sikra-Kulingram, observed National Youth Day on January 12, 2025, commemorating the 163rd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

Key Activities:

  • Commemorative Program: The program began with the recitation of Vedic chants and Arati dedicated to Swami Vivekananda.
  • Address by Swami Divyapurushananda: Swami Divyapurushananda delivered a brief address highlighting the significance of National Youth Day and the importance of Swami Vivekananda’s teachings in the lives of young people.
  • Exhibition: An exhibition showcasing portraits of Swami Vivekananda was organized to further engage the participants.
  • Educational Support: As part of the celebrations, exercise  6000 exercise books and pens were distributed to 1414 local students, demonstrating the Mission’s commitment to education and youth development.
